Will the CC Times be there? We'll find out Tuesday! UPDATE Monday, January 19th - It seems that there are strong views on both sides and so I decided to update some wider-scope thoughts. Click the pictures to read those articles below in full.
I was asked why this warranted a posting. The answer was less to do with Obama than the fact that teachers at this school felt railroaded into having a school-wide production. And as you can see from the above two postings, as much as this is a historical event, it has also raised controversy over whether this would have been noted had the opposition won. The only other point noted in the emails I received focused on holding the event in order to garner media coverage. We'll see who is on the news tomorrow. MisterWriter |

This
anonymous report comes from
the MDUSD's Valle Verde Elementary
School where
a recent multi-month head
lice infestation confounded
the community. It seems that
partisanship is active as a
pro-Democratic principal
plans to enforce the
inauguration of President
Obama upon all the youngsters of
the school site so that it
makes the news. It makes
you wonder just what
standards this covers for
the elementary grades and also
highlights a growing
dissatisfaction by site
staff and parents with
the present administration. 
"Come join the fun as our
principal throws a red,
white and blue party to
celebrate this "historical
event". Each class will come
out to the central pod
carrying their classroom
flag. Then, our principal
will give a speech and then
lead the children in the
Star Spangled Banner. Next,
the
children
will sing I'm Proud to be an
American and some other
patriotic song. Our office
has been busy sending out
notices about the plan of
action; repeatedly. The
first notice had the wrong
time on it. It wasn't
supposed to start at 8:15!!!
It's supposed to start at
8:20! Throw away those
papers you have already put
into children's cubbies! WE
have new ones! Be damned
teachers if you can't make
copies for class work. THIS
IS REALLY IMPORTANT! And we
must make color copies
(red, white and blue) of the
days events attached with
bubbles ties with ribbons
for ALL children. 
Because this is a historical
event!!!!!
