"And let me say this, to all of the chattering class, that so much
focuses on those little, tiny — yes, porky — amendments: The
American people really don’t care." - Sen. CHARLES SCHUMER - IS HE
CORRECT? ARE WE ON THE "EDGE OF A DEPRESSION?" Are we just
going "Baaaaaaa?"
Sen. Schumer, arrogant and derisive, is, nonetheless, likely accurate in his assessment of how apathetic the public is, preferring to blindly trust in news sound bites rather than getting dirtied in detail oriented research. It seems to me that too much money and time has been spent on politicians who seem unable to work together as a public service. Perhaps it is time to unload them all and start over. And shouldn't public service be a service, and not a great paying job? Apathy is a popular dish these days. And as blogs have shown, you can have thousands of people whining about something, but almost no one showing up to be counted. Are we just standing in the field and joining the other sheep going "Baaaaaaaaa?" Watch what Schumer had to say in the video below and see whether you agree or not.
